Solutionary Peace Walk & Festival

Project Description

Project Description
We welcome the Orlando, Florida community and beyond to join for an educational walk to expose the true meaning of peace and sustainability. Throughout the walk, participants will see signs with facts and resources for making their lifestyles more peaceful. Creating a peaceful world means thinking conscientiously about our daily choices and actions, and how they affect other people, animals, and the environment. A solutionary is someone who recognizes problems and chooses to practically and effectively address the solutions to those problems.

We are planning a Solutionary Peace Walk & Festival in Orlando, Sarasota, and hopefully in St. Petersburg to start PEACEing communities back together through fun and educational celebrations! Guests will learn about social justice, animal protection, and environmental sustainability through educational signs & literature, passionate exhibitors, knowledgeable speakers, and a positive social environment.

The event will feature a 1 mile peace walk, live music, speakers, eco-friendly & compassionate vendors, yoga, peace trivia, a peace kids’ zone, healthy food, and more!

We all have the opportunity and responsibility to transform humans from a problematic species to a solutionary species! We look forward to helping people walk toward healthy and peaceful lifestyles to create better communities and better world.

The project is being coordinated by a group of volunteers with the brand new non-profit Solutionary Events. Our goal is to create many educational events throughout Florida to serve as role models for people to create more educational events throughout the United States.

Project Resources
The projects my team and I are currently working on are funded by hardworking volunteers who work full-time jobs to be able to lead educational events. We are currently in need of $1,000 to accomplish the rest of our expenses for our upcoming festival, including advertising, insurance costs, biodegradeable cups for our first aid station, tent and table rentals, and miscellaneous material expenses. We intend to work on many fundraising events in between the festival in June and our next festival in November. We are hoping to continue to speed up our momentum to change many hearts and open many minds. Any donations or sponsorship amount is sincerely appreciated.
We currently have 7 dedicated volunteers. We are seeking help from the Orlando community for more volunteers.
Is there a Global Grant for this project?
Volunteers of Solutionary Events and Solutionary Species are chipping in to make this event possible. Solutionary Species is cosponsoring the event as well, though both Solutionary Species and Solutionary Events are very new organizations with limited resources.

VegFund and are helping with advertising.
