Project Description

On 6 Oct 2014, the Rotary Clubs of Alpharetta and Milton-Windward dedicated the Peace Pole at Freedom Park, Milton Georgia to the brave men and women of our Armed Forces. Our Pole has six sides and on each side are the word “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in the languages of English, Spanish, Cherokee, Irish, Gaelic and Hindi. This language represent the heritage of those who live in Milton and but only a few of the languages/heritages you’ll find in our military. Rotarians from the Alpharetta and Milton-Windward Club will unveil the plaque which reads:

To the brave men and women who serve in our military.

“There are some who’ve forgotten why we have a military. It’s not to promote war, it’s to be prepared for peace.” President Ronald Reagan
