 Position Summary

The Rotarian Action Group for Peace (RAGFP) is a nonprofit organization that empowers and supports the peace work of Rotarians by offering structure, guidance and resources to further their peace efforts. Rotary International has a very strong commitment to peace efforts around the world. One of the objectives of The Rotarian Action Group for Peace is to forge a path for existing Rotary peace programs.

The Project and Communications Coordinator will support the promotion, communication and coordination of RAGFP projects, events and activities. This role will also troubleshoot website issues and coordinate new website initiatives. This role will act as a RAGFP steward, upholding RAGFP standards and consistency in all projects.

 

Major Functions

  • Works under the direction of and reports to the Executive Director (ED) on daily basis.
  • Provides project support and promotion to Rotary clubs and districts planning community based projects, symposiums and events that support building a culture of peace locally and internationally.
  • Monitor and update RAGFP website content.
  • Manage the organization’s email accounts, social media accounts, and member accounts.
  • Produce biweekly newsletters.
  • Work with print vendors to establish quotes, production schedules, and delivery of materials.
  • Support fundraising operations.
  • Provide administrative support to the ED.
  • Maintain an organized filing system of paper and electronic documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field.
  • Strong written/oral communications, research and proofreading.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to plan and manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments.
  • Excellent skills with WordPress, Social Media, Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Comfortable with web-based project management tools and collaboration technologies.
  • Ability to travel and work extended hours as needed.
